[Locked] Which was the best sabers clan?

hey nova, what your specs on your new comp? my comp has just gone down its only 2 months old, im so pissed of with it right now.. oh yeah i joined a UT04 clan got pretty good after we stopped playing, not using icq any more no. im taking my driving test next week, been looking at some sweet cars this week ill upload a picture of the one I maybe getting

If anything you missed BoL (Brigade Of Light) from the old days and you didn't even put SM in either. Prince may have had good players but they were ridiculed on the zone and often accused of cheating.

The other names besides Quest and Prince I don't recognize or even remember.

Thad, all I have to say is you are the biggest moron this JK community has ever seen. Besides, we all know 420 clan is a no talent clan full of potheads who can't play JK worth crap. All 420 has ever produced is idiots such as yourself who sprout crap, bringing about the saying of "You can talk the talk but you can't walk the walk" or something like that.

Then, you have Jenny, nice girl but she get's high then spends the next 3 hour's spamming the #JK irc channel with silly song lyrics, or whatever she dream's up. :rolleyes:

Whereas, on the other hand, I have played some PRINCE members recently in sabers, as well as a VDS member (Eugenius) and they are all very good with sabers. Hell, I tied with Eugenius and edged ahead score wise with PRINCE but still had a DAMN GOOD TIME with all of them. When people get together who are very good with the saber's it's a lot more fun IMHO then guns.

Oh, and if you never heard of BoL, then I feel sorry for you as you clearly must not have went on the Zone much, or lived under a rock the last 8 year's, as BoL members were often seen almost as much as WLP and PRINCE members on the Zone in it's heyday, with BoL being the largest light side clan for a few year's.

So Thad, get a life, grow up, and stop making yourself look even more stupid, you can't afford to look any more stupid then you currently are.

BoL has always sucked *** in NF sabs.Anyone who ever played NF sabs and got relativly good knows BoL wasn't any good.

One thing you have to remember with BoL though - BoL had it's good and very good players, but, BoL, being the largest light side clan, had fully adopted the role of the Padawan and Master system, where the clan would recruit relativly new players (newbies) or rookies, then a BoL Master or someone who was experienced in JK, would train that person up in saber's or guns.

I'm sure you guy's probably ended up playing a lot of the BoL newbies and rookies, as the clan had recruited quite a few of them for training purposes, and to see how dedicated they would be to training etc.

ya that is probably correct there sloan ., Prince was the same as BoL at its very onset., course that was when I was still a newbie.. the better I got the better people in Prince got I think as a whole... we always had a few lingering people that weren't newbies.. but played at the newbie skill level at least in some area of JK..lol. *cough Karbon in NF sabers*..and I probally can be considered pretty newbieish at NF Guns even though I was better at them closer to 2001 and 2002... haha anyhow

I meant to say when you played me it was like my 2nd or 3rd game on DSL ,.. and of course I stll gotta get used to it . I think I've gotten the hang of it though.. haha but I'm up at college so it don't matter anyhow now,. I'll be back playin some night in a few weeks though. peace~!

LOLERSKATES - how the hell are VDS not on that list?

For a period of 18 months to 2 years, VDS were unquestionably the best nf sabers clan in the world of JK.

We can argue all night about who was best between oldschool and newschool clans (which I dont intend to do, I have `nuff respect for IRN etc), but the fact is, out of the newschool clans it was all about VDS. We won just about every tourney we enterd, we had just about every nf saberist trying to join us and with the exception of a few players dotted around other clans, we probably had 70% of the best nf saberists in the clan.

Also, can I just say `lololololol` at myself, as I never expected to say something like that 6 years on rofl!

*sighs*.. England my friend, lol.. I never had any intention to join VDS .. and you do admit that Most of VDS was in Prince.. and you must admit there were many Prince that never joined VDS that were good enough to join VDS. I won't argue that we didn't have some newbieish people... but the fact is.. Prince was 4 years of at least semi-dominance.. VDS 2 years tops..

ya you guys won tourny's.. but we were always right there with you.. least I was and at least an equal amount of Prince as were in VDS.,.

and furthermore I'd like to say.. when those trophies were won.. those people weren't VDS members but Prince members.

I do say you guys were probally the best during times in JK history..
but cumulative.. you can't argue that Prince was at least a semi dominant presence for longer... even once you guys stopped playing JK we were still around for awhile longer:

when I rarely saw a VDS .. when we were still playing almost daily..
this is what I"m sure you guys were hoping for in Prince while you guys were in it..Small clan.. everyone on the list was pretty elite. .. new elite that I found ... at least as good as some if not most of the VDS members.

and when you say 2 years england.. i think that is an overestimate.. I'd estimate 1 year.. 1.5 years tops.. (dominant).. i wouldn't call VDS dominant until.. a number of Prince joined you guys (Oxide, Axion, Zodiac, Sacred, Zerocool, You) ... then for awhile there VDS was rejoining Prince? HeXen, Narbes, and a few more,.. I'd say that is instability.. not dominance

my final point is the one stable fact.. Not to overestimate my skills or brag etc... Prince always had me.. VDS can't claim to that. no clan can claim to that.. but Prince. You can say one person don't make a clan.. but

lol yack mate im not gunna get into an argument all these years on. However, you said it yourself, Prince had some noobs, VDS only had the best.

We used Prince like a training acadamy and your best players would come to us when they wanted to raise their game. Prince were around for years, but when your best players got good they left to go elsewhere. If you could have held onto your best players then hell yeah, Prince would have pwned big time. But they allways left just as they got tastey

I guess Prince was kind of the middle ground. People got JK and joined a clan like BoL or JKNR or something, then they would end up in Prince and if they were good they would end up in a top end clan like VDS. Thats the way it worked and it worked well

Dont get me wrong, im not having a go at Prince... you guys were the only clan to stand the test of time in JK and were pretty much allways around. However, you never had a member base where every single member could beat just about anyone else on the zone.
